Event Overview
Wild About Wellness is a unique evening experience designed to help families explore the powerful connection between healthy minds and healthy lives in a fun, welcoming environment. Set within the engaging atmosphere of the zoo, this 2½-hour event invites guests to follow an interactive journey featuring hands-on wellness stations, family-friendly activities, bounce houses, and community vendors who are passionate about supporting children and families.
As guests move throughout the zoo, they will encounter creative opportunities to learn practical ways to care for emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Each station is designed to make wellness feel approachable and achievable, offering simple tools families can use in everyday life to support resilience, connection, and positive mental health.
In addition to educational experiences, attendees can look forward to special opportunities to interact with zoo animals in unique and memorable ways not typically available during everyday zoo visits. These exciting moments help create meaningful connections and spark curiosity, reinforcing the idea that learning about mental wellness can be engaging, interactive, and even adventurous.

Featured Entertainment
With nearly two decades of experience behind the turntables, our Wild About Wellness DJ brings both energy and heart to every event. He began DJing professionally in 2006 after returning to Kansas from Idaho, quickly discovering a passion for creating memorable experiences through music. In October 2024, he launched On Point Entertainment, continuing his commitment to helping events feel vibrant, engaging, and fun for all ages.
Now based in Hoisington, he is an active member of the local community, serving as a Great Bend Chamber Ambassador and honorary member of Kiwanis-Hoisington. By day, he works with 20th Judicial Juvenile Services as the Project Coordinator for Youth Crew in Barton County, supporting youth growth and positive opportunities — a mission that aligns well with the spirit of Wild About Wellness.
A proud husband, dad of four, and dog lover, he enjoys traveling, bowling, gaming, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Most of all, he loves seeing people come together, energized and connected through music — creating the kind of atmosphere that makes community events truly memorable.

We invite community organizations and service providers who support children, adolescents, and families to participate as resource partners in this unique evening event.
Resource partners play an important role in helping families discover tools, programs, and services that strengthen emotional well-being, build resilience, and support healthy development. We are specifically seeking organizations that provide resources relevant to kids, teens, parents, and caregivers, presented in ways that are approachable, interactive, and easy to understand.
