What is a Mental Health Crisis?
A mental health crisis is any situation where a person’s thoughts, emotions, or behaviors put them at risk of harming themselves or others—or prevent them from functioning safely.
A crisis may include:

What it Looks Like When We're On-Site
First, we'll mobilize one of our crisis teams to come and meet you where you are. When our crisis team arrives, our priority is safety, compassion, and stabilization.
You can expect us to:

Assess immediate safety needs

Listen to what’s happening without judgment

Help de-escalate intense emotions

Collaborate with the individual and support system

Our approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, with dignity at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to reduce stress—not add to it—by meeting people where they are and providing calm, compassionate support.
After a crisis response, our team can continue to check-in to help support safety, stability, and wellbeing. Whether or not you choose to continue services with us, your wellbeing matters, and we want you to feel supported beyond the immediate moment.

Mobile Crisis
Mobile Crisis provides in-person mental health crisis support in the community—meeting people where they are, rather than requiring them to come to an emergency room.

What Is 988?
The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a free, confidential resource available 24/7 for anyone experiencing emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or a mental health crisis.
By calling or texting 988, you can connect with trained crisis counselors who listen, provide support, and help determine next steps—whether that’s de-escalation, resources, or local crisis response.
