About the Role
As a Therapist at The Center, you play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care to individuals and families across our communities. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive assessment and treatment services for individuals or couples experiencing a range of mental health concerns. Through evidence-based practices, collaboration, and a strong therapeutic alliance, you will help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual, family, and group therapy based on assigned caseload, credentials, and areas of specialization
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including intakes, PASRR screens, and psychological evaluations as appropriate
Deliver crisis intervention services as needed during sessions or walk-in situations
Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans
Complete progress notes, documentation, and utilization reviews accurately and within required timeframes
Participate in weekly clinical meetings and collaborate with the clinical team
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and licensing requirements
Engage in ongoing professional development and obtain required continuing education (CEUs)
Maintain active licensure in the state of Kansas
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
Licensed (or license-eligible) in the state of Kansas
Valid Kansas driver’s license with a favorable driving record
Background free of issues related to abuse or neglect
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical-level licensure (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT)
Experience providing mental health and/or substance use treatment services
Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Additional certifications relevant to therapeutic services

Technical Skills
Proficiency with computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and efficiently
Familiarity with assessment tools, treatment planning systems, and data tracking

Ability to manage a caseload and meet direct service hour expectations (e.g., 1200 DSH annually)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
