Pay range: $10.34 – $12.74 per hour

About the Role

As a Building & Lawn Maintenance Worker at The Center, you help create safe, welcoming, and well-maintained spaces for both clients and staff. This role supports the upkeep of our facilities and grounds through routine maintenance, repairs, lawn care, and general building support. The ideal candidate takes pride in hands-on work, works well independently, and understands the importance of professionalism and confidentiality within a behavioral health environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs inside and outside agency facilities

  • Maintain lawns, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor areas

  • Complete cleaning and painting projects as needed

  • Assist with obtaining and organizing maintenance and building supplies

  • Support upkeep of equipment and facility appearance

  • Collaborate with maintenance team members as needed across multiple locations

  • Identify and communicate maintenance concerns or repair needs

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Kansas driver’s license with favorable driving record

  • Background free of issues related to abuse or neglect

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor in varying conditions

  • Ability to travel occasionally to satellite offices in Lyons, Stafford, and Larned


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in building maintenance, lawn care, custodial work, or related field

  • Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment

  • Experience working in professional or healthcare-related environments
