CBS Children's Case Manager

About the Role

As a Children’s Case Manager, you will play an important role in helping youth with serious emotional challenges successfully achieve their treatment goals. This position works closely with children, families, schools, and treatment providers to ensure services are coordinated, progress is supported, and each child receives the care they need to thrive. Through collaboration, advocacy, and skill-building support, this role helps children and families navigate systems and build stability in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to children diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED)

  • Collaborate with clinicians and treatment teams to support individualized treatment goals

  • Monitor progress through psychosocial groups, collateral contacts, and wraparound meetings

  • Coordinate communication between families, schools, and service providers

  • Assist in identifying and maintaining eligibility for qualified services

  • Provide transportation to meet with clients in home, school, or community settings as appropriate

  • Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service records accurately and timely

  • Participate in crisis or on-call coverage as scheduled

  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or four (4) years equivalent work experience

  • Valid Kansas driver’s license with favorable driving record

  • Background free of issues related to abuse or neglect

  • Ability to complete Case Management training within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of social service resources

  • Understanding of recovery-oriented care

  • Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities

  • Experience with program development or service coordination

  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
