“Hi, I’m Rachel, and I believe therapy is about more than feeling better — it’s about helping you grow in hope, clarity, and connection.”
Meet Rachel:
Rachel Hemken is a licensed professional counselor with a strong academic and clinical background in mental health care. She earned her Bachelor of Science with a focus in psychology and was inducted into the lifetime National Honor Society Psi Chi Chapter before completing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health.
Rachel has experience working in private practice in both Salina and Great Bend, serving children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, anger management, and crisis, allowing her to support clients through both everyday stressors and life’s most difficult moments.
Her therapeutic approach integrates a wide range of evidence-based and experiential modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, Somatic Therapy, Neuro-experiential Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Existential Therapy. Rachel believes healing is about more than symptom relief—it’s about expanding a person’s capacity for hope, clarity, and connection.
Rachel strives to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered. She values meaningful conversation, genuine curiosity, and empathy, and believes that while everyone experiences vulnerability and challenge, those experiences can become pathways toward growth, balance, and thriving.
