Sobre el rol

As a Children’s Support Aide, you play a hands-on role in helping children build the skills they need to succeed at home, in school, and in their community. Working one-on-one and in group settings, you will support children with emotional and behavioral challenges by reinforcing treatment goals through everyday interactions. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families.

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to children based on their individualized treatment plans

  • Develop and implement weekly group lesson plans focused on social-emotional learning and evidence-based practices

  • Facilitate or assist in leading therapeutic and skill-building groups

  • Support children in developing daily living and independent living skills

  • Assist children in school and community settings as appropriate to treatment goals

  • Provide services such as Attendant Care (AC), Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), Independent Living Skills (ILS), and Respite Care as qualified

  • Transport clients as needed to provide services in home, school, or community settings

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation and communicate progress with the treatment team

  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requisitos

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Kansas driver’s license with a favorable driving record

  • Background free of issues related to abuse or neglect

  • Completion of required trainings (AC, PRI, ILS, Respite) within 30 days of hire

  • Previous experience and/or education in human services, education, early childhood, or a related field

  • Working knowledge of social service resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED)

  • Experience in school, community-based, or behavioral health settings

  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning approaches

Requisitos

Technical Skills
  • Basic computer skills in a Windows-based environment

  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and on time

  • Familiarity with electronic records or data entry systems preferred
